Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM) is a dense-graded bituminous mix used as a structural bituminous layer in flexible pavement construction. It is generally placed below the Bituminous Concrete (BC) wearing course where specified by the pavement design.

First, calculate the area over which the DBM layer will be laid.
